The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is a sequel to the excellent RPG, The Witcher. Geralt once again has to fight a battle against adversity that throws him into the most dangerous places of the Witcher universe. As in the predecessor, a large part of the gameplay will be occupied with fighting all sorts of monsters, plaguing the defenseless inhabitants of the world created by Sapkowski.
When creating The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, the authors above all tried to create a much more vivid world than it was in the first part. Now people react significantly to our actions, taking on the role of allies or enemies. The mechanics of dialogues have also been changed – they are much more dynamic.
The way battles are carried out has changed significantly. Now it is not necessary to press the mouse buttons at the right moments for Geralt to make a series of blows, but each mouse click is one hit. In addition, a very important element of skirmishes is the execution of dodges and blocks. In addition, the creators have implemented Quick Time Events sequences, during which we have to press the right buttons at the right time to execute some deadly combination of blows. A physics engine has also been implemented, allowing players to m.in. Throwing enemies off a hill with the help of Marks. Dynamic weather effects have also been added, the cycle of day and night now changes in real time.
Many changes have also been made to the character development system. It has been divided into three areas: fencing, magic and alchemy. We can develop our hero from all angles, but it is more effective to focus on one area and improve skills subject only to it.
