Rationale for Design:

Made to fight off a group of reptilian races in close proximity.  

Specifications:

 Following the premise that the KDL are truly lizard like that is cold blooded. The grenade was designed to emit a charge of extreme cold temperature during impact thereby placing the reptilian species into a state of sleep or hibernation.  Made to fight off a group of reptilian races in close proximity.   It lowers the core temperature in a group of reptilian races while warm-blooded races just feel cold

Strengths:

This results in the RA members (like lizards) being rendered into a state of hibernation without the loss of life.  

Limitations:

Only works in doors and on cold blood races
