Specifications: |
Small device warn on a belt of an uniform. It it is composed of three important parts. Small subspace field emitter, computer chip with DNA database and battery. Has a small console on it, where one can choose the DNA he/she wishes to use and power on/off buttons. |
Strengths: |
DNA buffer emits slim subspace field around the body which covers the bio signs of the wearer and emits bio signs of choose race. The field is emitted from the small generator under 10 MW to avoid any detection and it changes the frequency of its flux each second. The device helps in covert operations by agents or boarding parties. Because internal sensors of some ships and bases are actively scanning for DNA, masks and skin operations are not enough. |

Limitations: |
DNA buffer can give false reading to any sensors, even friendly ones, so it doesn't have a homing beacon for the purpose of being detected. The device must also be turned off before the process of the transportation, because the pattern buffer can be mislead and try to re sequence the DNA of the bearer while trying to materialize, which can follow to painful and unavoidable death. DNA buffer works as a complete cover for 16 hours, until the battery runs off. The subspace field is very vulnerable to any kind of ray weapons. |
R&D Comments: |
Not ideal for many situations but a good piece of equipment to have for some. There may always be a point where you need to get onto an enemy ship and don't have time to release the right substances or particle to block you're presence. I'd recommend implementation but rational use on the part of COs |
