The planet is located deep within a nebula and has warp shallows in the space surrounding it making its location virtually unknown

History:

Little is known about the original inhabitants of Retaria VII as all records of there existence have been erased from the computer logs. The only evidence of their existence is the Gateway itself and the surrounding ruins of an ancient city

There is only one city on the entire planet suggesting that the population base was small

It is believed that after constructing the Gateway, the aliens themselves passed through the Gateway and left this dimension

Retaria VII in other dimensions shows no existence of a city just the Gateway itself suggesting that the aliens took their origins in our universe before departing.

Medical scans revealed faint traces of an ancient bacteria that may have been harmless to the aliens causing them to flee our universe. The closest relative of this bacteria in today's society is that of influenza, the common flu.

It is hoped that one day the aliens who devised the Gateway will either return to our universe or be found during travels to other dimensions and time periods
